However, when WCW closed in 2001, Vince McMahon saw value in her and bought her contract. She started with the WWF in the summer of 2001 and soon was managing the Dudley Boyz. It was during that time that she was part of the first-ever WWE lingerie match against former tag team partner and WCW alumni Torrie Wilson, although she is most remembered during that period for taking a nasty powerbomb into a table, thanks to her former protégés Bubba and D-Von.

She then challenged Stratus for the women’s title several times before settling back into a mostly out-of-ring role. At WrestleMania 20, she and Miss Jackie lost a tag team evening gown match to Wilson and Sable, which was purely to promote Wilson’s and Sable’s appearance in Playboy. Keibler herself turned down offers to pose for the magazine. She remained with WWE until 2006, when she left to pursue acting and modeling opportunities.

In an interview with Sam Roberts in 2013, Keibler was very candid about her pro wrestling abilities.

“I had to kind of learn as I was going and I think that’s why I was so terrible at wrestling. And I was not very tough at all, but the choreography came naturally because of my dance background. It’s all an act and it’s a character that I was playing the whole time, and I loved that part of it and I loved the fans and the energy, but the actual physical wrestling scared the shit out of me every single time. Because I didn’t want to hurt anyone and I didn’t want to get hurt.” Although she was rarely promoted as a serious wrestler, she was one of the most recognizable stars in both WCW and WWE during the height of their popularity. She enjoyed mainstream success after leaving the ring and remained very popular among wrestling fans.
